The Lord is my strength

Posted By on October 18, 2011

These past weeks have been very challenging for sure. My son David has recovered at miraculous speed. No headache and no neurological deficits. In fact the doctor (neurologist) said that he was lucky. I have this to say, healing is from a greater physician and I give credit where credit is due. God uses the hands of our local physicians, but
there is no luck involved. Praise God! Thank you for your blessing.

Many times I have wondered “why me Lord? The message this week from Pastor Steve presented the priests and how they stood in the middle of the river for the Children of Israel to pass over on dry land. I thought about this carefully…then the Holy Spirit said…now do you know why you are here? You are the priest in your home. Your children still need you and that is why you had to be where you were when your son had his emergency. WOW! I never looked at it that way till today.

….but when the priests dipped their feet in the water, the water was held back and the people crossed over near the town of Jericho as the priests stood in the middle of the riverbed waiting for them to pass by (Joshua 3:14–17)…

I have become weary with the things that have occurred over these past weeks.’’… David, surgery and the conference with Exfuze… I continue to work full time and carry that burden as well. My second son and his family members are residing in the home so I have 4 grandchildren here. My body becomes weary but I know that my strength is in knowing that God is my refuge.

This blog will be short for today because of the need for my body to rest. Thank all of you for reading and saying a prayer for me and my family.
