Time is short

I do not understand how God works, but my son Chad and his family have come from Huntsville, Alabama. They will be living with me until they find a place of their own. This sounds heavy, but it finally gives me a chance to have some of my grandchildren in the house. I can actually be grandmother for a while. I must say that it is not a burden but a pleasure. God works in mysterious ways to answer prayers!
It is the “eleven o’clock hour“ and I know that families MUST reconcile and be in unity.
This is so important and I know that God is restoring my family…one person at a time. Thank you.
My journey continues with 2011 drawing toward the
end. Life remains a challenge each day with the family coming together. Think about it with 4 grandchildren again in the home and 2 extra adults. Sometimes one must be creative yet this is a trait that I have utilized many times over the years. Most of the time it was for other people ‘non-related’ but still! I am thankful that I have the resources to do this. Each day will be a wonderful opportunity to share the love of Christ to the ones I care about the most right here within the walls of our home. My prayer is that I become so much more than an open book but a source of wisdom to share and hand down what the Holy Spirit has taught me over
the years of my training.
Here it is Saturday morning again and I am supposed to have this blog to Jessica by Friday evening. Pray that my timeliness will improve. It is simply that with working full time at the hospital and family here, there is so much to accomplish. I will get better, I promise Jess!!!!! Just think, I am almost 62 and still keeping up with the younger generation. That is a testimony in itself is it not? I praise God for what He has done and for what He is doing.
There is so much change occurring and we must keep up. The weather I referred to last week brought such strong winds it blew a stage down at a local fair killing several people and injuring more. My work has decided to change the status of our entire hospital from a general hospital to a ‘Women’s and Children’s hospital’. WOW! Sounds great on one hand but many physicians are up at arms because they will lose in the long view of the change. Patient census is low so nurses get sent home without pay. Some establishments are closing due to not enough business. Unemployment has been on the rise locally. People are content to ‘not work’ and accept less …welfare and government subsidy. Young people are moving back in with their families not because they want to be near them but because they do not wish to ‘work’ and support themselves. They expect a hand out. They have developed the ‘you owe me attitude’ or ‘give me attitude’. Crime is increasing. What are we getting out of all this? You know that the Scripture says:
Luke 17:26 “The time of the Son of Man will be just like the time of Noah–
Luke 17:27 everyone carrying on as usual, having a good time right up to the day Noah boarded the ship. They suspected nothing until the flood hit and swept everything away.
Luke 17:28 “It was the same in the time of Lot–the people carrying on, having a good time, business as usual
Luke 17:29 right up to the day Lot walked out of Sodom and a firestorm swept down and burned everything to a crisp.
Timothy describes the character of that generation:
II Timothy 3:1-5, 7 “But realize this that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of god; holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.”
I do not know when the return of Jesus will be…but I do know that it is imminent… as the ‘signs of the times’ demonstrate. He says that ‘only when the world is in such a state’ will the end times begin, the opening of which is Jesus’ second coming and the rapture of His followers. The services at Trinity World Outreach with Pastor Steve have become stronger because the Holy Spirit is speaking through him with such authority and force. This must filter down to ‘we the people’ because we are the ‘body of Christ’.
Revelation 2:7 says, “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”
I never know where my blogs will lead me each week but here I am referencing the ‘return of our Lord’. I think that because I have prayed so hard for reconciliation of my own family, I realize that there are so many other families with similar issues. The colors may vary but the issues are the same. The imminency of the Lord’s coming is very sobering when I think of my family apart. With us so busy in our daily lives we give little thought to the prospect of eternity. I hear the Spirit speak to me, “My coming is near. It is time to WAKE UP and get serious with God.” Complacency and lukewarmness is no longer an option. He will vomit you out of His mouth.
As I spoke with my granddaughter who lives with me (Kati) who is 20years of age, “It is time”. It is time to quit fooling around in all areas… WAKE UP and make changes in your life… Be productive! It makes no difference where you came from but it is where you are going. Many believers, (not only the young ones) believe that they are ‘fine’. They are content to say the ‘amen’ at the right spot in the sermon and go home without ANY changes in their lifestyle. They are pretty good Christians? Yes?
Revelation 3:19 He who has an ear, let him hear what the spirit says.” Be honest with yourself and with those around you, do you have a humble heart and do you have the ears that can hear?
