God has made me who I am

As I begin this blog today, I realize that I am a week behind. I missed a week while in Oklahoma, but that is alright. I thoroughly enjoyed my freedom of relaxation. There is a time for that. Now I must get back into the groove.
God has brought me this far and has made me who I am. I am a mere person saved by faith who ‘struggles’ everyday with the many things that face a person in this world. I am no different than Jesus when he went into the desert and faced the temptations thrown at him by the enemy. I have the Holy Spirit to give me strength and guidance as did Jesus when He walked as a man.
Since my return from OK, I have worked almost every day. On my days off I worked at home … so you see … vacation was terrific.
I believe that we get so caught up into our busyness that we tend to not take time for ourselves. I live in a house with one granddaughter sharing it with me. She is so caught up into herself, it remains that I am living alone. I have 21 grandchildren, but there is a generation of people who are
so caught up into themselves that they do not see further than that. In reality I live alone. This becomes a lonely life when you go to work to have a social life!!! I just pray that as I walk through this life that I can influence those who are around me. I want to be that candle in the shade of darkness that reflects the light of my Father. Lord, let me be a candle!!!!
Family means so much to me even when around me is a fog. When one cannot reach out to those who are near… reach a bit further. I have done just that. I have sponsored a child from the Dominican Republic. Estarling is from the Viva Kids and below you will see his picture. Isn’t he awesome? I believe that one day I will journey there to meet him face to face, but for now it will be from afar.
“We have danced with them and sang their songs, we have laughed with them and cherished their smiles, we have held their hands and prayed with them, we have cradled them in our arms and cried with them. VivaKids wasn’t founded by eXfuze — eXfuze was founded because of VivaKids.” — Rick Cotton, Founder & CEO
I am honored to have Estarling as my child.
I pray that every person reading this blog will consider sponsoring one of these children. Yes, there are children in our own country who need help, but one must begin somewhere. This is a start!
Go to http://www.vivakids.com. Become a sponsor yourself. Participate in changing the lives of others. For every bottle of Exfuze that goes out, a percentage is placed into the Viva Kids foundation for support of these children. Get involved as a sponsor of a child or as a distributor of Exfuze. Call: 502-509-6705
Become a part of the big picture.
