I am so proud of my Granddaughter Jessica Darlene.  She is responsible for keeping me on my toes and keeping these sites up dated.  Thank you Jessi…I love you very much.

Remember last time “Why me?” ?  Amy passed away on Friday from her battle with cancer.  Leaving behind 2 children under the age of 15.  She was 38 and worked here at Norton 17yrs. Very faithful to helping others.  I still have a BIG question as to “Why me?”  She was so young but she is now in the arms of the Father.  Please pray for her family and her children as they must begin this New Year without a mother.

I am sitting here thinking about what God has blessed me with.  I now have 21 grandchildren and this year He blessed me with my first Great Grandchild on July 4th, 2010.  Chloe was born.

I am very proud of my children.  I have 3 boys and 1 daughter.  David Jr. is a computer programmer located in Huntsville, AL.  If you have any computer needs he is the one to call for sure.  My other 2 sons Chad & Shane are following a similar path working with computers and technical support.  My daughter Jenny is a stay at home mom with taking care of 7 children at home.  I know that my husband would be proud of his children.  He has been gone near 8 years now.  My days are long and sometimes very lonely because each of my kids get so wrapped up in the lives of their own family that they sometimes forget their beginning.

My journey continues in this year 2011.  Someone came up to me in church today and said, “Perhaps this is the year that Jesus returns!” Perhaps!  But He did say occupy until I return.  This is what I am trying to do.  I believe that we should focus on becoming debt free this year. I believe that we should draw closer to one another in family because this is what we have to fall back on.  Family is what God gives to us and we must cherish it with all that we have.  Do not forget your roots but do not forget where you are going. Be focused and keep on walking.

Thank you God for the family that you have given to me… May I be a blessing to them as each day passes!
